I purchased this stand along with a bass clarinet (YCL-622 II). Bass clarinets are quite heavy so I wanted a stand that was suitable. I've found this stand to meet that requirement very well.
The quality of the stand is reassuring for someone placing a valued instrument onto it, the clamps are all very secure and the rubber components (feet, peg cup and top bracket pads) are equally so.
The legs span a circle of 80cm diameter and height ranges from 75cm to 117cm from the ground. As stated in the product description, the angle of the top bracket is adjustable. The lateral rubber pads on the top bracket can also be slipped on the other way round, providing a narrower fit.
The only points of criticism that I might make would be the padding on the top bracket could be thicker - especially when it might come into contact with delicate keys; and the weight of the stand may be an issue for someone looking for the lightest stand available (this is the only reason that I gave four stars for 'handling'). The stand's weight is also a reflection of its quality and stability so I myself have no problem in this respect.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this stand - I don't think there is any other more suited to my requirements.
