This is a very nice A Frame style stand. I used to have A Frames in the past and I always found them too bulky and too deep especially since the diagonal legs took so much space and I would always trip on them. This model, which features diagonal legs that become straight and have wheels is a perfect solution. It's not too deep, very sturdy and ergonomic.
It was very easy to set up. Total work of about 20 minutes to get it completely setup including several accessories that I bought. It's sturdy and stable and super lightweight.
This is my second Jasper's stand. This was bought for the studio and is a triple board stand. I use only midi controller boards now as I play through soft synths only so this isn't subject to a lot of weight. However that said, my previous Jasper triple held a motif, triton extreme and korg n5ex comfortably and I used it on tour with no problem.
Obviously there's a few pieces to these so not sure you'll want to use them for live shows unless you have a vehicle that will take the stand pre-assembled. However in the studio this is excellent. It's very lightweight and can be configured however you like it - I have keyboards on the two lower shelves and then bought an extra set of support arms for the upper self and I have a laptop on one side and a 25 note midi board on the other side. Being on wheels also means it can be moved easily and don't underestimate the convenience of this.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another of these, the price is excellent considering all the parts and the adaptability. I've not seen anything else that comes close in this price bracket.
Jaspers stands are always excellent in build quality. I use them with my heavy analog synths without any problem. And what is great, is that you can add holders of various type to build a setup for your need.
Greatly suggested.
I have used various style and brands of keyboard stands. I must say this stand isn't reliable or sturdy, poor quality. I suggest always go for a well know brand such as K&M
