Harley Benton Solid UkeBass Sunburst

I bought this awesome looking ukulele bass as soon as it popped up on Thomann. I have wanted a solid u-bass for a long time, but there are not a lot of other options, and the ones I could find costs 4-5 times as much.

It's build pretty solid and the materials used are decent. But one of the bolts holding the neck is screwed in at a weird angle and some of the paint on the screw itself has come off. Looks like someone has forced it in even though it didn't quite fit. Also one of the tuners was loose on the headstock.

The biggest problem for me however is that when setting the volume to 100% and turning the bass on the EQ up past 10% there is heavy distortion. I have tried different amps and preamps with headphones and different cables. All of which works fine with other basses. If the vol is turned down I can maybe turn the bass knob up to 20% before distorting. This makes the u-bass pretty unusable unless you are okay with the fairly thin and mid tone heavy sound you get with the bass turned down.
I'm sad to say that this u-bass is going back.
