Don´t let you fool of the old machine heads, that look a like and still works, they are cheaper clones.

The tuning stability and sound tells you another story.

If you can live with the old mounting sleeves, which where delivered with the Epiphone EB3 bass, it´s direct replacement.

"Grovers mounting sleeves is a little bit bigger", why I polish the 4 hooles about 1 mm bigger all the way round.

You have use some force to get the new ones in place, use a rubberhammer and your leg or a pillow, in order not to stress the headstock to much, and break it.
