how I love the idea! It's a low profile rack system that is such a brilliantly simple idea you wonder why this wasn't the original design of all drum hardware. Solid as a rock, you can fit bits of your old stands onto it and the low profile means you can be seen by your adoring pubic (or just your girlfriend) as can your drums and NOT not your bloody rack! And they are no expensive compared to ordinary stands or racks. Brilliant
I love this system from gibraltar - quick to set up and very well made - it saves all the floor space that your normal tripod stands would take up - small foot print but a big advantage - you can put all you existing hard ware on it with clamps too! Love it!
I use 5 different cymbals on the right hand side of my kit including a very heavy 22" ride and a 19" crash. They are all on this rack.
I play in a metal band so they get hit pretty hard too.
You could set a bomb off next to this rack and it wouldn't budge!
Much quicker setup and tear down time too, just take the cymbals off and stick the whole lot in the van as it is!
Great quality, great fit, easy to build, love the 'freebee' stickers and drum key too...
Buy one!
I'm the person that stealth racks were designed for. I hate racks but I also hate having loads of tripod stands all over the deck. Unfortunately I also like having lots of cymbals, toms, cowbells, hamsters - the works. I got the GSVMS a while back for the snare side. The GSSMS on the floor tom side is the perfect partner. I'm a nutter so I mount 2 toms and 3 cymbals to it and it is solid as a rock. Easy to assemble and usual Gibraltar quality and refinement. It just works. I love the flexibility it gives me. I realized I had been compromising on the position of my toms and cymbals but these new racks give amazing flexibility. It means that I can turn up to gigs with most of my hardware pre-assembled.
Gibraltar provide lost of replacement nylon bushings for different hardware tube sizes and even stickers so that you can label all the pieces to help assembly. Sound engineers will love you but w who really cares about them. You will love it because it is so easy to use and sits low on the floor well out of the way so other drummers won't hate you for having a rack. It is all very cleverly designed and really easy to adjust.
Stealth racks are the best kept secret in drum hardware at the moment. Check out the Gibraltar video for more options and configurations. This really is a quite excellent piece of kit of you want to get rid of half of your hardware. Top work as ever from the Thomann Pixies. Just can't fault them - much as I'd like to. They even sent me another free mug.
I goth this together with the left side rack and mounted three cymbals on it - really easy to customise, could fit a lot more, very sturdy, saved mee a ton of floor space. Highly recommended.
Solid, Discreet and Light!! The Stealth stuff from Gibraltar is the only rack stuff for me as i am not a rack fan. It has improved my set up and break down times and holds my gear in place perfectly every time.
