Handy to have.

This is certainly a handy tool and during lockdown, it helped me greatly after my sound post fell and no music stores were open.
The only thing that could be improved on is the thick plastic coating around it. I understand that it has the coating to protect the instrument, but if your F holes are narrow, this can make it a bit more tricky to use (but not impossible).

Does the job well

The star side had too Sharp edges that can scratch, I had to file them. Tha soundpost holder had to be resharped as well, it was too thick resulting in a too wide opening in the soundpost

A quality tool. I've happily only needed to use it once, and it did the job perfectly, with far more ease than I was expecting!

Useful, but not the best angle

I like this tool, and it really is one of the best for fixing soundposts on a violin, however, the sharp part of the tool is at far too great of an angle so it made it a little harder to work with
