Its a great case durable and practical but, due to the material inside the rack I would not recomend it for gear that gets very hot when in use...
My antelope zen studio+ turns this think into an oven very fast.
I have use it to rack my sennheiser em2050 receiver and UA apollo Duo. It is hard and make them safe for tour. However it is not good for the heavy gear because the handling design is not good enough. It will make your arms tired and your finger will be pained.
This case is perfect for anyone who needs to carry a digital recording studio to gigs, etc. I use it to hold a Presonus AudioBox 1818 and DigiMax D8 together with my laptop, giving me a complete 16 tack digital recording studio. The two 19" rack units fit neatly into the rails in the lower part of the case and the USB cable connects through to the laptop in the padded upper section. There is also room in the case to carry the power supplies for the rack units and the laptop. The case includes large zip pocket which can hold 6+ microphone leads or similar. The front and back of the case (top and bottom if you are carrying it) unzip, providing access to plug cables into the front or back of the rack mounted units.
The case is well made and seems very rugged. It should be able to stand up to hard use. The only minor issue I have encountered is that it is difficult to see switches and sockets on the rear of the shallow Presonus rack units as the Gator case is quite deep. A built-in USB powered lamp would be a great addition!
Overall a very well designed and built unit that does its job well.
Bought this to make my 8 input interface more portable.
For drummers or producers who easily want to carry more inputs: highly recommended!
This bag makes it so easy, it's sturdy and not so clumsy compared to a hardcase. I use the extra space for cables and my drum triggers.
