First.
I bought the Gator G-PG-49 to carry equipment when im going out to live shows, the size of the bag fits my "Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08" perfectly! but i mostly bought it to carry my Dave Smith Instruments Pro 2, which is a little smaller than the bag. BUT! because it has pads inside that can hold on to whatever instrument you carry in it, it does'ent matter. it sits well, and solid as a rock.
Build quality.
The outside of the bag is soft, but sturdy, it can take a beating but it's (obviously) not a flight case, but it's tough enough for me to feel like it could take a little beating without damaging the inside.
Inside is soft with microfibers that protects your gear from any scratches. very good quality!
On the side is a pocket, which holds 3 pockets, one with microfibers, one holding a rain cover (which i think is only to be used if you are carrying it through a storm, as the case itself is waterproof) and a net pocket for cables and etc.
the shoulder strap is good, does'ent bite your neck, same goes for the back strip though it's a bit difficult to get to sit perfect on your back, but to me it's a minor detail.
i have carried both synthesizers that fills the whole bag, but also bundles of smaller equipment, which because of the internal straps does'ent "fly around the place when you walk"
i would say that this is a very very good investment, and definitely a no-brainer/bang-for-the-buck product. i like it so much that i am considering buying one more.
