I was looking for a Nylon string guitar ergonomically as Close as possible to a steel string acoustic. I suffer from tendonitis which makes it difficult for me to Play steel string guitars at the Moment. I already have a couple of Furch steel strings and knowing how good they are I decided to try the Furch GN4-SR.
I like everything about this guitar, particularly the playability and the Sound. With a 45mm nut width, radiused fretboard and low Action (no buzzing though) it is a pleasure to Play. The Sound is also great and fits classical and finger style very well.
I also like the fact that the neck joins the body at the twelfth fret with a cutaway allowing acces to the higher frets. I personally also like the fact that their are no electronics. These can be added non-invasively (LR Baggs) if required but I don't Need them.
If you think it's a bit expensive you could try out the GN2-CW which is equally playable and to my ears sounds great too.
I have tried out a few other hybrid guitars in local dealers and although they were admittedly less expensive than the Furch None of them could compete with the Furch in Terms of playablity and Sound.
