A good value well built 500 series rack. Modules are pretty easy to fit, though some guide rails might be nice, two slot modules take a bit of hunting for the slot connection when installing. Module linking works well and saves a lot of patch cables. Everything sounds as it should and its happily powering eight modules without any issue. One criticism is that the +- 48v slot indicator LEDs are far too bright. They needed a bit of tape over them to stop them from being distracting. Generally though I'm happy with the rack. The Fredenstein gold livery looks very nice too as an aesthetic aside.
This 500 series chassis works perfectly. I couldn't find any chassis that offered this many slots (10) for anywhere near this price. It allows for 2 mono componants (of the same make obviously) to be used as stereo with a switch on the back. It has a sturdy build and I have had no problems with it yet and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start down the 500 series route.
