Nice headphones if you need something in untreated room(or on the road)
Alex.drummer 10.12.2024
Bought them because needed something to mix/prepare recorded project for mixing and right now don't have room to make properly treated mixing space.
Sound-wise: they do sound close to open back headphones(no excessive mud), shows a lot of "hidden" stuff when checking mix or listening to music(by the way they do accentuate bad cut`s "pops" in tracks so helps to clean up faster), but by the end will need some time to really get used to them.
Isolation is nice (so i can mix anytime and won't wake up anybody), have some concerns regarding recording drums in them but I'm heavy hitter so not that relevant issue.
Build quality seems to be really nice and I'm more than happy that huge chunk of them is made of plastic because otherwise they will weight a lot and put excessive pressure on neck.
Cables and packaging are nice, bag to transport them have hardened shell so I think it can survive few drops and/or putting them in the bag with another sized or heavy stuff.
Summarized: I'm more than happy with the purchase. Thanks Thomann!
Sound- and build quality is good, some corrections needed at least for upper frequencies. I haven't met any such headphones which doesn't need eq correction for critical mixing so nothing new under the sun. Measurement based eq corrections not yet available from Sonarworks, Reddit/Oratory etc. (beginning of 2025).
