My latest guitar purchase, and the one I enjoy playing the most right now (honeymoon period still ongoing, so take with a grain of salt).
I did have to do a few upgrades a tweaks though to get it playable. The mandatory ones: I had to install a neck shim to get the action low enough for the guitar to be playable. I think this is an absolutely must-fix for everyone buying this instrument. Takes 10 minutes, but entirely transforms the guitar. Also lower the Floyd string retainer a bit to prevent tuning going sharp when tightening the locking nuts. Another 1 minute fix that should have been done from the factory. I also swapped the EVH branded Floyd for an original German one, which got rid of all "play" in the trem arm and prevents it from going loose after a few minutes. Now trem system is rock solid and with no play at all.
With these things done the guitar is perfect. Low action, killer tone, smooth and very playable neck, stable trem system, holds tuning very well (the EVH version also kept guitar in tune). A fun and reasonably priced rock machine!
