Over the past i've had to play in various gigs ranging from jazz gigs to hard rock gigs all within a couple of weeks.
This bass drum skin with the outside damping system makes it much easier to quickly change the sound of the bass drum depending on the situation you are faced with.
Works very well for jazz gigs with high tuning and no damping, and can pack a good punch when tuned very low and the thickest of the dampening rings is applied. The Gmad bass drum skin is also very durable and can withstand a good beating (recording with double pedal using plastic side of the beater).
Would recommend for versatility. If you're only going to use for heavier music situation I would go for the Emad 2 (would get a bit more low end). On the other hand if jazz is your thing go for the Emad.
Massive attack, sounds like it mic'd up all the time.
First time buying a clear bass drum head Evans
Looks good.
Have used it now for a long time still as good as the first day it was put on.
Used with double kick.
I would recommend.
