I bought a pair of these to use mainly for drum overheads, but I might also try them on acoustic guitar.
They are made of metal and look pretty sturdy. They also come with their own holders which help keeping them in place.
For what I am using them they sound pretty good for such cheap mics. They don't color or hide anything in the sound. Some cheap condensers have some ugly and harsh characteristics but these don't.
If you are looking for good cheap overheads I totally recommend checking these mics!
Specially made as an overhead in a live scenario (no pad, no low cut). The mic is simple, sturdy, I wouldn't say warm, but it's ok for what is build for. The clamp is sort of shock mount which is onother plus. I'll buy another one in near future.
I'm using this microphone for overheads and hihat. Build quality is fantastic. Its a little bit heavy mic and feals very solid.
The sound is made for cymbals. I've tried this mic on guitars, cello and horns but it didn't work well on these instruments. It is more percussive oriented mic.
It cost almost nothing.
