Very pleased with the T500. Have yet to use at loud volume with a band, so these thoughts relate to home use only.
Easy to dial a good sound - start with all controls (except master!) at the vertical detent - at this setting, the few different basses I own have honestly all never sounded so good or inspiring- the clarity brings out the quality of each individual instrument, then just a small tweak to emphasise or tame a frequency here and there. I started with larger tweaks then always went back close to the vertical. I like a little extra bass or low mid sometimes, and the 'taste' control is very appealing if you want to be less crisp and more 'vintage'.
The range of the input gain is well chosen and copes with everything from boosted active to a quiet passive bass easily. The frequencies of the tone knobs are all where you would hope them to be - everything has a precise and musical feel, and easy to return to your favourite settings with this 4 knob set up - looking forward to recording through this amp.
I like the ULTRA quiet fan too.
Before purchase I was unsure whether to go for an amp with no tubes - now I may never go back to valves for bass - also haven't felt the need for a compressor so far, and the small size and no weight is just a bonus - very much the sound of your bass and your playing, thank you.
