I bought this oil to use on a thrift store acoustic guitar that hadn't seen proper care for at least 15 years. The fretboard was so rough and dried up it almost looked like somebody had taken a rasp to it. The rosette and body was also super dry, so I applied a thin layer of linseed oil, followed by lemon oil, which really gave the body a fresh look, and made the bridge match the colour of the fretboard. The fretboard needed two coats of lemon oil, with a light sanding in between to really make the colours pop, and the wood completely smooth. I can't compare this to other lemon oils, since I haven't used any, but it really does penetrate the wood well, which makes it great for really dry fretboards!
