I bought a new slide to replace one I have that's capped at one end and a little small for my fingers. This new one is a bit on the thin side but otherwise OK. For now I'll keep the old one.
I guess you should always buy "unique" guitar products in a brick and mortar shop where you can hold real objects in your hands to see if you like them. I wouldn't buy it again if it breaks. I'd find a thicker one. I couldn't see this in the web page image but sometimes you buy the wrong thing for you. It's not a car or a house haha. Live an learn.
I have been using this slide with an acoustic guitar only, so far.
Very nice handling and feeling, the sound is excellent, clear and full...
Haven't tested its durability yet but this is my first glass slide and I am a bit reluctant to do so...!
However I can only recommend it easily...
Last but not least, it produces much better sound than any metal slides I've used over the years. Try it out !
Just some short facts about the thing:
-The sound is quite good, no additional noises or anything. I guess glass is THE material for slides.
-It doesn't break when you drop it. Obviously I didn't try heights above 1 meter.
-Make sure to check which size you need. This depends on the size of your fingers and on which finger you like to play the slide with. Some people tend to use the little finger, whereas I prefer the ring finger. This one even fits my middle finger, but as I said, it's all about the size of your fingers.
