I had to cut the rubber seats, to shape them in a way they fit with my tom rim. Nothing special, and i believe its is to be expected with a generic product like this and all those different drum makers.
Also I had to add some nuts to act as spacers on the screws of my toms and some duct tape to act as a gasket to prevent the 2 metals slip.
Again, I was prepared to do some minor adjustements, because its an item that can be used on numerous drum makers, you cant expect it to fil like a charm on everything.
Apart from that, the tom's waight and hits it takes is maybe a little much to handle but after months of excessive rehearsals and gigs, it still does its job well!
Im not sure if it affects sound, I bought it for psychological reasons :) I cant remember the old sound anyways.

I bought a second hand kit which had a 10" tom with a rim fitting the 12" had no fitting at all. I was able to find the dixon Rim and a Gibralter tom leg holder which were identical to the ones that were on my kit (Ludwig CS Special). Excelent quality and value for money and as always Thomanns excellent delivery service and information.

Ein bisschen wackeliger ist das Tom jetzt aufgehängt, aber das liegt natürlich in der Natur der Sache. Weil man keine starre Verbindung mehr haben will verbindet man das Haltesystem lose mit dem Tom, alle Berührungspunkte sind durch Gummipuffer gepolstert.
Was sofort auffällt ist die Sustainverbesserung. Die Toms klingen auf einmal wesentlich länger und schöner.
Die Halteplatte besitzt alle Bohrungen die man zur Montage einer Rossette braucht, egal welchen Herstellers. Meine Pearl Rossetten passen wunderbar, genauso lassen sich aber auch andere Hersteller montieren.

Tom'en hænger nu lidt mere vaklende, men det ligger selvfølgelig i sagens natur. Fordi du ikke længere ønsker en stiv forbindelse, forbinder du holdesystemet løst til tom; alle kontaktpunkter er polstret med gummibuffere. Det, der umiddelbart bemærkes, er sustain-forbedringen. Tommene lyder pludselig meget længere og pænere. Holdepladen har alle de huller, du skal bruge for at montere en roset, uanset producent. Mine Pearl Rossettes passer fantastisk, men andre producenter kan også monteres på samme måde.
