First, let me start with the fact, that I already own the Cort G300 Pro which is an incredible guitar in every aspect. Having a good experience with Cort guitars I was expecting so much more from the G250 SE. Man, I was disappointed.
THE BADS:
- The neck is roasted yes, but it is made with very non-quality wood, there are lots of unpleasant marks and spots on the fingerboard, very ugly
- The body finish is very bad, you can see the wood "waves", probably because it was not sanded well and the paint is thin
- The tremolo is very cheap
- The pickups, especially the humbucker are very cheap sounding
- Even if I bought a new guitar, mine looked like it was a demo from a store
- Mine had a damaged fretboard edge, probably from a sloppy work with fretting tools, that's why I returned it
THE MEDIUMS:
- the tuners are so so, on a cheap side
- the frets are too narrow (at least for me)
THE GOODS:
- It is cheap
- It looks nice
CONCLUSION:
Yes, the guitar is cheap and it delivers what you pay for. Maybe I was expecting much more because I own the G300, which costs 3 times more. I believe it is really worth to add another 100-200 Eur and get a better guitar, even if you are a beginner.
