I was really suprised how good this interface was, compared to the price. Its really worth getting and it can compete with interfaces costing the double.
The interface has a very clear and clean sound without any noise. I changed from a older Yamaha/Steinberg interface (CI2+) to this, and the change is incredible. I thought I was becoming deaf at some frequencies (yes, I'm not that young anymore) but found out that it was just because I had a terrible interface before (though many think the CI2+ interface is good - well I know now, its not). So this changed my music, changed my mixing and changed my mastering. I can hear it all more clearly now, and what I make does sound good on other equiptment too. So now at last, I can trust what I hear.
Well its not only positive, sadly. I wish I could pan the channels, but they are all pre-panned in pairs if monitoring the direct input. The panning can be redirected in the DAW of cause, but even there you need to use direct monitoring if for example recording vocals. Well you can put it in mono, but its not the same as being able to pan on the unit. But thats not possible.
The software for the interface is terrible. The mixer looks like something from the late 90's, and there are not many options for tweaking there. But the drivers work without any problem, as long as you dont want to tweak something, which you usually can tweak on other interfaces.
I wish there were lights in the mute buttons, so I didn't wake up the neighbours while sitting with headphones on, not knowing that the output it also sent to the speakers. Well, I may learn to handle it ;-)
Its great with two headphone jacks, where you can send 2 different mixes to. Very usefull.
It would be nice if phantom power could be selected on each channel, but its only selectable for inputs 1 to 4 and 5 to 8. Not individual pr channel. Important to know if connecting mics and other equiptment via XLR on those two groups (1-4, 5-8).
The interface can be expanded via ADAT (ADA8200) with 8 extra inputs and outputs. And the Behringer ADA8200 cost less than this interface, so thats a very nice option to add if you want a total 16 analog inputs and 18 analog outputs.
Well, all in all. This interface is really worth the money. Its cheap and its very very good at that price.
