When designing this board many years ago Behringer definitely looked at the mess of switches, wahs etc at the feet of the effects busy guitarist. At the price and flexibility it is hard to see how other brands can actually sell their competing boards. For example integrating two volume/expressions instead of one is essential and seldom, if ever, seen in other products. Killer feature is the ability to program swithes with more than one feature. I haven't come across other affordable boards that can assign midi notes to switches. This enables the board to be both a program selector and a very flexible "bass pedal" like instrument. No coincidence that this product has been around for a very long time! Programming averse users beware. Programming via the switches requires a bit of patience and focus but the controlling powers obtained is worth the effort.
