Possible to get both a nice deep octave, or an octave with a nice roar to it. The knobs are pretty intuitive and the product feels solid.
Tried this with my 5string warwick corvette, and the Octamizer was able to track each note down to about the low F on the E-string. Notes lower than that were sometimes registered, sometimes not. From what I've seen of other octavers, this is very acceptable.
This is a masterpiece. I put it in my pedalboard and it sounded amazing. The sound is warm, definite and crisp at the same time.
The tracking is not as good as my previous pedal (an ESB OctaBass), but for me this is not an issue since I used to reinforce rhythmic parts in a rock band. A simple recommendation: buy it!!!
I was looking forward to placing this pedal permanently onto my pedalboard but the tracking on it is really glitchy. It tracks fine when you're playing fast, but as soon as you pluck a note and let it ring, the tracking starts "glitching out" after a second or two - the sub octave begins to turn on and off rapidly. Reading online it seems this can occasionally happen with analog octave pedals and there are various "fixes", but none of them worked for me. Dissapointed, will probably be selling it.
